• Simply dial *131*1*1*5# to activate this plan.

On a normal note, you are supposed to get 2GB for you the said amount but by making use of the working code to subscribe, you’re getting X2.

This data plan accepts and works on all kind of devices that has a data connection on them. Be it Java, Symbian, Android, PC, iPhone, or any data-enabled mobile device.  

You can mark this plan as one of the weekly plans on MTN.  

• It’s valid for 14 days (2 weeks).

Update: This is one of the MTN default MB subscriptions. They updated the plan recently and the new changes affected the plan negatively. It’s Now 750 megabytes.  

To Check The MTN 1.2GB Data Balance

You will get your balance details on a popup displayed on your device screen.   If you notice, the code to check the available balance on this plan is different.

3. MTN 1GB For N500

• Simply dial *131*142# to subscribe.

This plan is amongst the mtn weekly data plans. Yes, you don’t need to worry about a low-price subscription anymore.  

Once you have a quick task to complete online and you know it won’t take much time or consume a huge amount of data, this is an “OK” package to go for.  

The good this is that it’s not a DO or DIE affair. That is, you don’t need to force the data to finish in a day or two like some other plan with a short exhaustion period.  

This data plan is valid for 7days which is equal to 1 week.  

You can easily confuse it for the mtn 600 for 1GB code.    

Alternatively, you can buy this data bundle the manual way:

• Turn ON your phone.
• Open Messaging. This is the app used to send and receive messages on your mobile phone.
• Set-up Recipient. Enter “131” as the number you are sending the message to.
• Type Your Message. Type in “142” in the message box.

• Simply dial (the activate code) on your dialer phone dialer.

If you are following me on this blog, you must have come across this plan.

This plan is very much related to the 4GB data plans that I mentioned earlier.  

As I said, this package was designed to give you 2 gigabytes for paying 500 Naira.  

However, MTN had to spice it up a little to attract new customers. See what they did.  

They attached a 100% bonus. That is, you’ll be rewarded with DOUBLE DATA as a new customer who subscribes to the activation code.

You will receive 2Gigabytes as an Old customer on the network.

This is the cheapest data plan on MTN. Compared to other plans, I discovered that this one is different.
